BrowserConvert

Privacy Policy

Your files stay on your device. Here’s how Browser Convert approaches privacy and analytics.

Last updated: July 27, 2026

1. Summary

Browser Convert is built so that file conversion happens in your browser. We do not upload your files to our servers for conversion, and we do not ask you to create an account to use the tools.

2. Files you convert

When you select a file and run a converter, processing is designed to occur locally on your device using client-side technology. Your source files and conversion outputs are not sent to Browser Convert for storage or processing as part of the conversion workflow.

You remain responsible for the files you choose to process and for keeping copies of anything important. Clearing your browser data or closing a tab may remove temporary in-memory or local working data used during conversion.

3. Information we do not collect from conversions

  • We do not require a username or password to convert files
  • We do not store the contents of files you convert on our servers
  • We do not sell your personal information

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are viewed and aggregate events such as when a file is selected for conversion on a tool page. This helps us improve the product and prioritize features.

Google Analytics may collect information such as your approximate location (based on IP), device and browser type, referring site, pages visited, and similar usage metrics. Google may set cookies or use similar technologies as described in Google's own policies.

Importantly, Google Analytics is used for site usage measurement. It is not used to upload or inspect the contents of the files you convert. Conversion file data stays on your device.

You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services in Google's documentation, and you may be able to limit analytics via browser settings, extensions, or Google's available opt-out mechanisms.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

In addition to any cookies used by Google Analytics, the site may store preferences locally in your browser (for example, theme preference) so the experience works the way you expect on return visits.

6. Third-party services

The Service may load scripts or assets from third parties required to operate the site (such as analytics). Those providers process data under their own privacy policies. We choose tools that support our goal of keeping conversion files local whenever possible.

7. Children

Browser Convert is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
